Being used to big warmbloods and eventers, Ashlynn felt strangely out of place in the midst of all the ponies. Smoky Ridge had recently opened up to take in a few students for a lesson program, and it was obvious that only their haflinger, grumpy pasture pony and warmbloods were not going to work for younger people. And so she had been sent by Jacquelyn to Flying Time Farm, who was owned by their friends.

Personally, she thought the chestnut pony with the birdcatcher spots was just darling (and would secretly make a good beginner's eventer) but he was too small for some of their students. A bald face peeked out from another stall, but as she went to look it was only a smidge taller than the last. Forcing herself to think with her head and not her heart, she looked down at the list.

The first pony on the list was 13.2hh. Better, she thought. As she eyes looked up to see which one it was, she reminded herself, think with your head, not your heart..

Personality: Starbuck is almost like that classic first pony that everyone has, the horse that you do everything with but they are always mischevious and trying to get out of things. Though he is actually a very kind and willing pony, he is incredibly smart and will adjust his behavior to his rider. For a first-time rider he is flawless, but for a person who knows how to ride and makes mistakes, he often takes advantage and dodges jumps, ignores your efforts to turn, etc. For advanced riders he puts not a hoof out of place. He is a very tricky pony, always nibbling the reins, puffing his stomach out for the girth, but he means well and in turn gives students a lot of experience.
History: Bought at an auction from Flying Time Farm at the age of 4.
