Best Served Cold

Thrilled was the staff of Smoky Ridge when Royal Pirate Stables announced that the Snow Mustangs had arrived. AS their eyes landed for the first time on their woolly coats and lovely dark manes. All of them had striking and unique coats, but nothing interested those from Smoky Ridge but the bay roan filly standing with the herd. Excited that RPS could find almost an exact match to what they had wished was amazing, and soon the filly would be shipped to the United States to Smoky Ridge.

Snow drifted down from the gray skies when the trailer arrived with the Snow Mustang filly - perfectly matched to what suited her. She was still wary of the handlers, but she was quiet for the most part as she was lead to let out some energy in the Yearling's Pasture. Her tail waved like a flag behind her, her legs sweeping out gracefully.

The halter was taken off, and she flew out galloping, bounding through the several inches of snow already accumulated on the ground. Snow was thrown like dust behind her as she made a round about the pasture with her head up and taking in all of her surroundings. After a long moment of running, she slowed to a bouncing trot, not unlike an Arab's. Handlers laughed as she practically paraded around the pasture. A horse in the crossties had their head craned, staring curiously at the new horse.

The filly let out a whinny that echoed across the yard, her nostrils flared, as if announcing her arrival.

History: Quil was born and grew up in the mountains of Austria in a herd of Snow Mustangs. At the age of two, she was rounded up with the herd by Royal Pirate Stables, and now resides at Smoky Ridge.
